This so called "science" is nothing but speculation. They don't know but just grandstanding for attention. More fake
news.

They're not looking for attention, they're looking for money.
One of my brothers is a PhD in Physics, and a Prof at a very large University in the east.
He told me that most of his timeis spent in and the biggest requirement of his job is, finding money.
The University takes half off the top, his Dept keeps the rest.

Not education, but grant searching.

And, since almost all the grants are from taxpayer money (Feds), that's who he needs to suck up to.
Ergo, whatever the grantor is looking to confirm is what he needs to come up with.

The US and Europe use climate models that treat the Sun as a constant. Pretty stupid, it's the greatest driver of our climate. Russia has long since used a climate model that treats the Sun as a variable. Something like 5, 6 or 7 years ago they said that in a few years we could start to experience cooling because of the cyclical decrease in sunspot activity. Western scientists and media scoffed. Well, here we are.

The article is talking about the temperature of the thermosphere, 50+ miles above the surface where we live in the troposphere. Does anyone know if there is any relationship at all between the thermosphere temperature and that of the troposphere?
