Would you rather wear a mask for half an hour while getting your goods, or have the local economy shut down again?

It's a legit question. Because we all realize, them economies get a go-no go from the local government. Whether constitutional or not, they hold the license each business needs, and can be withdrawn at any moment. So what's more important to you? Personal freedom from the cloth, or community solidarity to live as normal as possible?

It won't end at Norman either. If Texas can do it, don't think for a moment Stitt won't. He'll follow suit and cite Texas as an example.

Haven't seen it in the daily paper or on the tv yet but judging from this thread it sounds like Norman passed the wear a mask deal last night.......I had a gut feeling that they would.

I could be mistaken but I think I saw that Edmond and Stillwater were going to vote on masks last night also......anybody heard how their vote turned out ?

Someone from Norman was interviewed on channel 9, she said some people are too hung up on their 'liberties', with the air quotes and eye-roll tone in her voice.

Shut this mother down then. The ONLY person with a pair in Tejas was the lady that kept her shop open and refused to back down.

If states and cities want that, want JBTs to do door checks for compliance, let them shut it down. No business, no taxes.
Compliance, subservience, screw those SOBs with their government paychecks and security entourage.

Personal freedom is living as normal as possible, it's not one or the other. Everyone has a different normal and by allowing personal freedoms to continue, normal continues. If you're high risk, you've already adjusted to a new normal before covid came along.
