Not right now before an election. Brain dead biden emptied the strategic oil reserves to keep the price per gallon low before the last election. When that ran out, he quietly allowed Venezuela to increase exports over the ban that Trump put in place.

To keep gasoline prices low before this next election, expect the government to pull back as they already have on the future mileage goals for conventional vehicles and allow more oil from Iran and Venezuela to flood the markets.
