OK Mushroomers

I found this in the yard today and have never seen one in it in 15yrs. Is this a Morel? Apparently I have chopped the top off it last time I mowed and its pink on the inside and solid. It is also starting to turn a little black on the bottom. I have never seen one but this one looks to be a whopper whatever it is. Im afraid to try as I don't want to end up on the roof naked singing songs or anything. Isn't it to late for those? What do you guys think it is?

No, definitely not a morel! Some sort of toadstool would be my guess. You might not be lucky enough to sing after you ate that one.

You wont see a morel after it gets to warm in about April/May. They last about 2 weeks in early spring as soon as soil temps hit about 55* I believe it is.

Thanks fellas, that was kinda what I was thinking too late and too big. I have never seen a toadstool with a brown netting like that. For that matter I have never seen a actual morel other than ones other people find.
I guess there is a reason I don't try to look for them, would probably end up killing my fool self.
