bucks are running together and only interested in food at my place
Sat Sunday evening. 8 bucks and 1 doe. 2 were shooters but were all pretty broken up. Most will be really nice next year!!!
Lots of deer moving this evening. Got to take this young man on his first deer hunt this evening. Kind of a crazy recovery. It hardly moved after the shot, gushing blood, fell down twice and stood at the edge of he field for a while. Then wandered towards the timber and disappeared between two cedars. Gave it 45 min, started the tracking, and found nothing after it left the field. It couldn't have gone far but nothing. It ended up crawling up inside a giant cedar not 15' from where we last saw it. Seen does do that many times but didn't expect that with this one. He clipped the very bottom half inch of the heart as well.
