[QUOTE="yrralguthrie, post: 1384735, member: 8581"] Actually, sir, I have lived in Oklahoma for 60 years. I've also lived and long term visited in other areas so perhaps my knowledge and experience is superior to yours. I don't need to be told we are a long way from LA, I figured that out by myself. I also know there aren't 1 million people in a 10 mile circle in Oklahoma. Not sure why that is funny. I suspect others understood my point. I've hunted coyotes in Oklahoma and in Nebraska. They are pretty much the same where ever they are found. A smart, wary opportunistic animal. There are not as many coyotes found around OKC as around Phoenix, Peoria or Sun City, so the problem with them eating small dogs is not so bad. If you leave a small dog outside in those areas it won't last a month. Rabbits and mice are abundant in OKC, so that is what they mostly eat. Your statement that coyotes are afraid of man and won't bother small animals is what you should be laughing at. Its ludicrous. To advise the man that he shouldn't worry about coyotes bothering his dogs is pretty poor advise. Unless the dogs are the size of coyotes. Oh, by the way, I thought Oklahomans had the reputation of being friendly to outsiders, you're not holding up your end of the reputation by laughing at what you thought was an outsider. Not nice at all. There is a difference between disagreeing and laughing which you openly profess to have done. ljg nuff said, I quit the conversation. Your welcome to the last word if you must.
