Family should civil suit them. Pretty much a guaranteed win in that court. AG says officer acted accordingly, but obviously he makes bad decisions when put under even the slightest pressure. Not an ideal candidate to represent LE on the streets. I'd suggest meter maid, but those folks take more verbal abuse than the entire rest of the force. He'd likely shoot somebody over an expired meter.

It appears that the legislature has established extra penalties for harming the elderly (over age 62). Of course such concerns are no worry to law enforcement. Maybe some additional legislation is needed to protect the elderly from the police. I guess the police union and Gentner Drummon would oppose it.

"...the Elderly and Incapacitated Victim’s Protection Program serves as a catch-all for enhanced penalties for offenses against the elderly. If the following crimes are committed against an adult aged 62 or older or an “incapacitated person,” the defendant will face more serious penalties than if the same offense was committed against an able-bodied person under the age of 62 (22 O.S. § 991a-16):

  1. Assault, battery, or assault and battery with a dangerous weapon;
  2. Aggravated assault and battery;
  3. Burglary in the second degree;
  4. Use of a firearm or offensive weapon to commit or attempt to commit a felony, or pointing a firearm;
  5. Grand larceny;
  6. Extortion, or obtaining a signature by extortion;
  7. Fraud, or obtaining or attempting to obtain property by trick or deception;
  8. Embezzlement; or
  9. Caretaker abuse, neglect or exploitation.
Enhanced penalties under this program include a mandatory minimum period of incarceration, restitution (plus 12% interest), property seizure, community service, and “a fine or any other penalty otherwise provided by law.”

Repeat offenses against the elderly are subject to increased prison terms—up to 20 years in prison for a third offense." https://www.ok-criminal-defense.com/crimes-against-the-elderly
There are 62 year old men that could beat a 20 year olds ass. There are plenty of 62 year old men that have shot and killed police officers. The guy should’ve just complied and he wouldn’t have got out in the ground.

A woman shouldn't get all mouthy with her man and she won't get slapped around, right?

There are plenty of bees and spiders that have killed policemen too so I guess I'm missing your point. Are you saying since there are plenty of 62 year old men that have killed police, all 62 year old men should be body slammed? Or are you saying since just about anyone can kill police all people should immediately be slammed to the ground? Are you saying since just about anyone can kill police they are justified in killing you at anytime for the slightest infraction?

If it’s sooooo common please list all those 70 and older that have murdered a cop. 😉. Nothing is100% certain. Cops know that when the put on that uniform. However 70 and older males ARE IN 99% of society the least of that group that Shots Cops. You and some others here continue to throw that out with nothing to back it up.
Put up or shut up🤮

I'm not yet 62 but I can woop a 20 yo and have. I'm an exception maybe.
I wouldn't test a cop though, he'll no. I was raised to respect others until I don't need to anymore.
