Typically out of there by 2pm or earlier depending on how many folks show up.
Even if the squad I'm shooting on gets done early, I always hang around to help break down the stages.
At the OKC gun club they set up the morning of the match, and take every thing down at the end to be put away.
Its shooter courtesy to help break down the stages.
Hope to see you there.
I'll be there breaking in a new rifle and shooting pistol as well.

Okay thank you. I have never been and would like to go.

Where can I go to see the rules for equipment? I have a belt and mag pouches that I picked up to start shooting in comps but I bought it around uspsa rules.

USPSA equipment will work for Steel Challenge. Holster must cover trigger guard.

You do not have to be a club member to shoot the match

Center fire handguns start from holster with wrists above shoulders. Rimfire Pistol, Rimfire Rifles, and Pistol Caliber Carbines start at low ready, aiming at a cone.

Rules and more information can be found here. http://steelchallenge.com/

USPSA compliant equipment will be fine. Centerfire pistol is shot from the holster. Rimfire pistol, rimfire rifle, and PCC is shot from low ready. I suggest bringing pistol/rifle bags for those that are shot low ready to all them to be zipped and secure unless you are on the line.
Makes sure you attend the new shooters briefing and pair up with an experienced shooter to show you some tips. The squad you are on will be willing to help you and shuffle you below the top of the order so you can watch the others.
Bring at least 5 magazines if 10 rounds or under or at least 3 high capacity mags. If you are short on mags, do worry too much. Usually someone has one to loan you or someone will help load a mag while you are shooting.

Plan on having fun!!!!
