This is a great thread with all the elk sightings. I'm off topic, but my grandfather saw a deer in Jackson county back in the '60s and I expect most people believed him. Maybe I'll see an elk out here one of these days.

Pontotoc county, near Stonewall Ok.
I heard there was a small herd near selman, northwest of Woodward. And a few random cow pics around chimney rock area
Years back... there was a fork bull elk running north of plain view in woods county...it was rare and random
I think there were some released in the deep fork national wildlife refuge a couple years back too...but not exactly shure about that.
Someone posted a pic from a game cam of a cow near Carrier Ok. About 9-10 miles NW of Enid. Don’t remember who it was but it was at least 8 years ago. There’s hope that we’ll have nice heard in the next 20 years or so. Good management and letting cows walk could be our future plan
There was a cow elk killed in Garfield county rifle season 2017. She'd been seen for almost 10 years and was an adult when first seen. Pretty sure a different cow than the one dlbleak mentioned.
