Man robbed by men posing as law officers

Published: 5/3/2011 5:15 PM

Bandits who claimed they were on a “crime investigators task force” robbed a man at his home Tuesday afternoon.

The men stolen an unspecified number of guns from the victim at a home in the 10900 block of East 28th Place, Officer Leland Ashley said.

Ashley said that the Tulsa Police Department does not have a unit by that name and the robbers appeared to be impersonating law enforcement officers. Actual undercover officers would always commission cards that they could show someone is asked, he said.

The two robbers approached the man in his garage about 2 p.m., Ashley said.

One man wearing a blue baseball cap with the word “police” on the front. He also had what appeared to be a badge on his belt

MUSKOGEE -- Three men were arrested Wednesday after a young girl called 911 and said armed men were in her house, police said.

Officers responded to a home in the 200 block of South C Street about 4:55 p.m. after a call was received from a young girl who said three men were inside the residence with guns, Cpl. Pedro Zardeneta said. She was hiding in a room after her mother told her to hide and call the police.

As officers arrived, the three men were attempting to flee, Zardeneta said.

Off-duty deputy shoots man outside apartment

An off-duty Tulsa County Sheriff’s deputy shot a man who was allegedly trying to get into his home early Saturday morning.

Tulsa Police officers responded to the shooting at about 4:30 a.m., Saturday at the Somerset Apartments near 9300 E. 65th St. South.

The deputy woke up when he heard his front door be rattled, said Cpl. Daisy Vallely.

He grabbed a gun, opened the door and saw a white male approximately 27 years old at his door. Vallely said the deputy told officers the man made aggressive movements toward him so he fired three rounds, all three hitting the man.

The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition.

Wednesday night(10-12-2011)there was a robbery/home invasion by 3 persons in their 20's around 41st and 209th area, BA.
Supposedly the homeowners and child were home. One adult was outside and saw what was happening and shot 1 perp and supposedly 1 perp escaping and 2 arrested. At least Wallets and guns were stolen. 1 of the Credit Cards was attempted to be used at the convenient store(10-13-2011) at 31st and 209th. It was denied and they paid cash. A plate and description relayed to police. I don't have a plate but car was supposedly a YELLOW sports car, possibly Camaro.
Keep your eyes open in your neighborhoods. The detective said that there have been several similiar robberies in BA area and possibly another linked to escapee in Coweta area in the past couple days.
My wife talked to the homeowner and his wife this morning and that is where this came from.
