Arrest made in Tulsa home invasion robbery By NICOLE MARSHALL World Staff Writer Published: 7/9/2010 11:27 AM Related story: Charges filed in robbery at lawyer's home Police have arrested a man in the June 20 home invasion robbery at a Tulsa lawyers home and said that they now believe he is linked to another home invasion robbery this week. William Harley Tottress, 23, was charged Thursday with robbery with a firearm, first-degree burglary, possession of a firearm and assault with a dangerous weapon in connection with the robbery and assault at Stephen Rodolfs home near 26th Street and Peoria Avenue. Three men held Rodolf and two out-of-town guests captive and threatened their lives, Rodolf said. The robbers entered the home through an open garage door and bound two of the victims as they beat the third, Rodolf said. The thieves got away with money and 11 of Rodolfs guns. The men reportedly talked of killing the three victims but decided against it and fled in Rodolfs car, he said. The investigation has led detectives to believe that Tottress and other unnamed suspects are linked to the home invasion robbery in the 1400 block of South Carson Avenue on Tuesday, Sgt. Dave Walker said. After the charges were filed against Tottress on Thursday, an extensive search by detectives and patrol officers began. Tottress was believed to be heavily armed and a continuing threat. Patrol officers located Tottress vehicle in a parking lot at The Meadows apartment complex in the 2800 block of South 115 East Avenue around 10 p.m. Thursday. Officers observed Tottress get into his vehicle and drive off. They stopped his vehicle in the 2300 block of South Garnett Road and took him into custody. Inside Tottress vehicle police found one handgun taken in the robbery at Rodolfs house. An iPod was also recovered that had the name of the victim etched in the back. Robbery detectives continued the investigation and developed two more suspects in the case, Walker said. A search of an apartment in the Seminole Hills apartment complex in the 1600 block of East Ute Street resulted in the recovery of five additional guns.
