Little did they know, the homeowner was inside with her weapon loaded and drawn.</p><p>BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -</p><p></p><p>Two men busted down the door of a Green Country home Friday morning, in what turned out to be a botched burglary</p><p></p><p>It all went down around 9:30 a.m., near Kenosha and 129th East Avenue.</p><p></p><p>The attempted burglars had no idea the homeowner was inside, armed and not afraid to shoot.</p><p></p><p>She doesn't want to share her identity, but this stay-at-home mom wanted to share her story.</p><p></p><p>"It still doesn't seem real. It seems like it was just kind of a dream," she said.</p><p></p><p>The day started out like any other, until the homeowner heard a knock at the door.</p><p></p><p>Bella, the family dog, was on guard, as usual.</p><p></p><p>"He knocked several times and then I heard him say to someone, ‘They've got a dog,' and I thought that was kind of unusual," the homeowner said.</p><p></p><p>She checked the peep hole and didn't recognize the man on the other side, so the door stayed shut.</p><p></p><p>She said, when he left, she went for her weapon.</p><p></p><p>"I immediately ran and got my gun and put it in the holster on my hip," she said.</p><p></p><p>Now armed, she checked out all the windows to make sure everything was safe.</p><p></p><p>Just as she sat down in the living room chair, she said she heard someone coming back up the front walk.</p><p></p><p>"In less than a second, they were in the door. I mean, they kicked through the storm door, kicked through the front door," she said. "I didn't say anything to them, I just started shooting."</p><p></p><p>The homeowner fired three shots, but she said it happened so fast, she doesn't remember the third and she doesn't know if she hit either of the suspects. The incident occurred just before 6:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Nashville.</p><p></p><p>Broken Arrow Police say the homeowner confronted the two men after they had forced their way into his home.</p><p></p><p>The resident said he fired at the two men and one of them returned fire.
