We run a big risk when we think that our side has the answers and the other side is totally wrong on everything. It is this division that has created the bulk of today’s problems. Neither “team” is right, or wrong, all the time. It used to be where both could work together, attempting to finders the best answers for the nation as a whole. However, those days have changed into what we have today.

Both teams are equally to blame. There are some good folks on both sides, with true interest in doing the right thing, but the professional politicians hold all the reins.
I agree to disagree. I know the Republican party is not perfect. That said the Democrat party belongs to communists and socialists. There’s no justifying their actions. There is no equal blame. That sounds like something the left-wing media would say.

There are sides. Right and wrong. The Democrats are morally bankrupt. There are some Republicans that’ll throw in with that lot but it is not the majority. There is a difference. And one side is actually in the process of destroying our country.

" . . . but the professional politicians hold all the reins."

No truer words spoken. that is why I think there should be term limits on ALL elected politicians.

And SCOTUS. It should not be a lifetime appointment.
I disagree. That is a checks and balance. The problem is when you have morally bankrupt people like Bill Clinton or Obama nation appointing people with their Senate and house approvals. That is why it’s so important to put people with good morals and a sound head on ther shoulders as president for when they appoint these people. If these people were constantly changed out then the political winds would affect it more than it does now.

The reason it's a lifetime appointment is that it's an attempt to give SCOTUS justices "breathing room" if you will, to decide by the constitution. It's an attempt to remove any retribution for their decisions from the whole process. It they can be fired, recalled, voted out, etc., they'd be inclined to preserve their position by deciding politically instead of constitutionally.

And that is exactly what they are doing.

We already have a SCOTUS that is influenced by the whims of politicians. There is no checks and balances anymore and there hasn't been for a long time. The supreme court, like the DOJ, is a disgrace and a joke. The proof is in the fact that they treat the constitution as if it were a "living document" meant to be reinterpreted to reflect the political side they represent instead of the intent under which it was written. The SCOTUS, like any justice who sits on the bench is supposed to be impartial, they are anything but that and allowing them to serve under a lifetime appointment just gives them the security they need to continue ruling based on their politics instead of our rights under the constitution.
