If I'm not shooting out at a friend's place, I'm out at the Okmulgee WMA range. Its got a pistol area (that's now covered) with what used to be three stand-up benches, but now its just one mostly corroded bench and one good one. When it rains, the pistol range (and parts of the rifle range) get muddy - not as bad as Wagoner (its a mud-pit lately), but its still something I consider before I go out there during or after a rainy day. I want to say the pistol range is around 100yds deep and has a tiny berm - IMPORTANT NOTE - there is no berm between the pistol/rifle range, so if you're down-range at the rifle range and someone is shooting at the pistol part, you are at risk if they're not aiming at their berm (there's sort of a hill and some trees in between, but its not ideal). The rifle range is 230 yds and is mostly up-hill (enough that it makes 1/4-1/2 minute difference in your shooting over flat-ground at the same 230yds if your target is in the middle of the berm). I don't much care for the rifle range, but its got a cover (that some idiots have shot through in a few places) with, 5 benches and a place on the far right side that you can sit in the prone (if they've mowed the weeds :D ). You can basically do whatever you want there (within the realm of safe shooting). We routinely do moving/shooting drills with carbines and handguns over on the handgun range (you have to shoot in the direction of the berm the entire time). I just realized that I haven't been out to shoot in like 3 weeks or so. Crap, I may need to head out that way soon.
