Stopped at a pawn shop on Saturday. In the case they had an old fixed sight 3-screw Single Six....unconverted. Not a flat gate. Much of the bluing gone....holster wear though. Grips in so so shape. Cylinder and action were pretty tight. The nice young well intentioned man behind the counter immediately began to tell me why I should buy every other gun in the shop. Clueless as to why anyone would even look at something like that.

Had a price that would have pushed $600 after tax. I didn't even try to talk.

I love 3 screws. A flat gate is the only one I have left. Click click click click. Pop! I had found something I wanted a while back, and in a moment of weaknness, I almost sold it. I even posted an ad. The thing I wanted sold fast, and I pulled tha ad. Thank God for small favors!
