[QUOTE="John6185, post: 2765664, member: 25679"] Somehow I fail to understand how a cross can be so offensive to some people. TV preachers are one thing but a cross on a hill placed there to recognize WWII veterans that has been in place for decades is castigated and a hue and cry from liberals to remove the cross is louder each passing day. I don't see the reasoning, the cross is inanimate. On the other hand, people accept some guy in his underwear playing a guitar in Times Square as freedom of speech and acceptable. The Confederate flag is just a piece of cloth to me but to some Southerners it's an important symbol. It doesn't bother me to see that flag but it kills certain people. It's a mixed up world.
