Quite so. In a way, that isn't fair to SDA license holders but I won't complain about it.

TX is an open carry state I believe so that would be a yes. If the home state was concealed only, then believe that governs but I'm only speculating.

Easy way to remember this is that you have to follow the gun laws where you are standing. First question, does the state where you are standing recognize your state's license. Ok recognizes all state's licenses.
But in Oklahoma you must follow Oklahoma rules.
And when you go visit Texas, they recognize your Oklahoma license, but they don't care how you do it back home. You must follow Texas laws and signs in Texas. So the first thing I did was learn the TX off limits and state specified signs (like the famous 30.06 sign that carries the force of law).
