[QUOTE="mike sweeney, post: 3176505, member: 28756"] The NHM rifles are post 1989 ban rifles. They called them Match rifles because of the 20 inch heavy barrel and cut out for a bi pod. These really were more a semi auto version of a RPK light machine gun. I believe the rifle pictured is a post 89 as it appears to have the long collar added that was tack welded on to cover the barrel threads so they could no be accessed. Plus the bayonet lug has been milled off. If that is the case then someone has taken off the thumbhole stock and added the pistol grip and stock. If a certain amount of US made parts were not installed then the rifle would not be 922R compliant. Not that I believe I have ever seen anyone get in trouble for a rifle not being 922R compliant. At least that is from what I think I am seeing from the pic. I had a 556 cal Mak 90 that sometimes would not eject brass cased ammo. Since the 556 case is smaller in diameter it didn't contact the ejector as much as the 762X39 case and the ejector would just slice the case instead of ejecting it. Shot fine with steel cased ammo.
