So I ran across this beauty yesterday and I am looking for some quality leather. I prefer OWB.

What say you oracles of 1911 holsters?

(I would even consider a gently used one if anyone has one laying around)

I’ve got three Milt Sparks rigs. Long wait and top dollar but worth it. Waiting now on another from Tucker Gunleather but that one is for a S&W.

I’ll add in William Davis holsters too. And if you’re willing to go old school and send a self addressed envelope and letter through the mail, Thad Rybka does really good holsters.

He makes a model called the Rhodesian that works great.

One thing to keep in mind while searching, typically the holsters will work for full length, commander length, and officer length. The holsters are mostly one size fits all. For that reason, I opted for a pancake style holster with a shallow pouch. I’ve recently started carrying an officer’s model, and I struggled to find a holster that didn’t have excess leather length below the barrel. It was an extra 2” of wasted leather to try and conceal. I ended up buying a 3 slot leather pancake holster from Relentless Tactical, and it fits my officer’s model perfectly. Your Kimber looks shorter than a traditional commander length, but I could be wrong.

It is 4” and I think the Commander is technically 4.25”? Thank you for the suggestion.
