Breaks my heart to imagine how land and animal conservation will be harmed by this. It will cause the state to literally fall apart from a conservation standpoint.

While others will differ with this, when we were in Oregon back in 2016-2017, we were told that the Oregon Dunes were started when well meaning "officials" decided to plant a particular type of grass on the small dunes to help control erosion. Now, the dunes are swallowing pine trees just a few miles inland.

Also, there is a vine in the South (specifically, I can cite Alabama and Mississippi) called Kudzu that was originally introduced in the U.S. at a couple of the "world centennial expositions" as an ornamental plant in the 1890's. Then, in the late 1920's and early 1930's, it was determined that it would serve well for erosion control.

Well, the erosion control works. That stuff takes over and covers just about everything else in those two states.

Here is a picture of Kudzu taking over the ends of a railroad car that has been sitting on the siding for quite some time.

Mankind can do a marvelous job of messing up good things.
