From what I've been told, time was in the era around the Civil War and after, that Medals of Honor were given out pretty freely.

Just google the MOH during the Indian wars. They got the medal for carrying messages a few miles and such. A lot of Apache scouts got the medal too.

Looks like we are winding down on our work here in Indiana. With luck and good weather, we could be back in Oklahoma on Sunday. Then, we will take off work for a few months. Talk was that we might work Arkansas next.

Took the Luger to the range today, and wow, what a gun!! Zero issues with this 80 year old piece. Was a little challenging at first adapting to the narrow sights, but once I did, it was dead accurate! I'd have to rate it above every pistol I have with the exception of my Browning Buckmark. Very surprised and satisfied!
