When we went to South Dakota some years back, we stopped at a place within Nebraska's "national forest." I'd never even considered that Nebraska would have such a thing. The tower in this image is one that someone could climb and get pictures, which is just what we did. We couldn't access the inside of the tower, but could get to the "deck" around it.

My mom could use some prayers if you're the type. Last night she tripped over one of those concrete parking space tire stops and broke both of her elbows, and at 81, she's in a lot of pain. She seems to be out of the woods as far as more serious complications, but I'm always concerned about the elderly when they fall. 2 years ago my dad fell out of bed and was dead 6 hours later.
Any update on your Mom?

She had to go back to the hospital earlier this week because she fell again, but no serious injuries for the most recent fall.
Man, I hate to hear she’s fallen again and will continue praying.
My mother isn’t quite as old as yours (75), but she’s got some nerve damage due to a bone spur on her spine that wasn’t addressed soon enough and has started falling too. Once they get into a pattern of falling, it seems like they just keep doing it.

Her birthday is Saturday, I told her I was going to get her a track suit made of bubble wrap.
