Good evening all, Well we made to Oberkirchin, the town I lived in back in the 70‘s. It was great. We found the house that we lived in, the bridge we played on and even found the fort that we use to play in as kids. Not of the people were home, must have been working so didn’t get to talk to anyone while we were there. Except to the pub we stopped in for lunch. The first pics are of the house we lived in. We lived on the top floor and our landlord and family lived on the ground floor. The bridge was built by Hitler during the war for transportation of troops and supplies. And then the little building is up on top of the bridge. It was our fort 40 some years ago. It looks like it has been added on to and kind of made into a storage shed. But it was really cool to see where I spent some of my childhood. We checked into the hotel and had dinner on the canal. Going exploring tomorrow and tomorrow night. So far, it’s been an amazing trip.
