Don't try running the saw through your fingers....

I actually did this about 3 days ago. I've been working despite this.

Ouch! Lots of three and four fingered carpenters out there.

Making progress.. got the last post in and the plank around it cut to fit. Built new steps for the South side and replaced the lattice.

Then spent the evening getting the boards notched out to build the porch rails.




What a way to make a mess....



Got it all cleaned up though...

Couldn't find the dado set. Ended up doing the multi pass trick and then cleaning out the groves with a chisel.
