EVERYTHING I've seen, has stated HF red was good, but discontinued. Other colors were crap. I've found a method that gives awesome results using the HF black powder. I love using powder coated bullets. I have always bought them already coated. I was gathering components to PC my own and never got the powder. End of the HF red, but me on back burner. Finally, bought some HF black and started playing. A bit different method than anything I've seen posted. 1. Preheat oven to 200° 2. Put bullets in oven for 15 minutes. 3. Put powder in tumbler. 4. Move hot bullets from oven directly into tumbler. 5. Slow tumble for 2 hours. 6. Heat oven to 400° 7. Place bullets in oven for 10 minutes 8. Move bullets from oven, directly into water. 9. Repeat steps 1-8 Let bullets dry and they are ready to load. Tested the completed process by placing bullet on an anvil and hitting with 3# hammer. Smashed bullet, PC did not peel, crack, chip or flake. Test fired and barrell is clean. A bit more time consuming, but it works GREAT.
