I have one tree that's yielded about 50 lbs of pecans (just that I've collected). I just hate seeing them going to waste. I hate even more shelling them by hand.

Does anyone know of a place in the general area of Altus, Lawton, Elk City, Sayre, Chickasha, etc that processes these things? I've searched but the places I found all seem to be out of business.

Wish you were closer, I love a good nut, matter of fact I don't know if there's a nut I don't like. Go ahead boy's take it away.. lol.
The cracker I knew has been gone a few years now, like drive in movies traditional things are disappearing. Good luck.

I love pecans but I use a hammer to crack them. At one time I could crack 2 in my palm but not that strong anymore.

There's a place called Mason but they're on Hwy9 just west of Riverwind Casino so further than probably worth driving. If still in business, they'd crack and shell for you.

I think that's one of the places I found online but looked like they were out of business. Didn't recognize the location so it could be I saw a different place.

While we're on the topic of Nuts, I'll wipe the $1 - 8oz bag of peanut supply off the shelves at dg. If ya see your local dg has no roasted in the shell peanuts I might have been thru your town. But then again it might be Joes fault.

You can take them to have them cracked and blown several places. We use Sorrels Nut House by Comanche. I believe it’s $.60/lb. then just finish picking them out, vacuum seal them, and throw them in the freezer so you can use them all year.
