I'm all for 2nd amendment rights but I see where people are carrying rifles into places of business. Such conduct will only hurt the cause and provide ammunition to people like Lowe. A pistol will serve the purpose of self defense. I'm all for constitutional carry but a little common sense is in order. Does it make one a big man carrying an AR into a diner? I would feel nervous in such situation and would no doubt have my hand on my pistol.

A few weeks ago women went around in a very public area where many people including children and had their baby bottles exposed as to express their new found freedom. Shortly after it was found the law was not in their favor. Just as many were appalled by seeing these woman exposed just has people are appalled seeing a person open carrying a AR or AK. The stupid are on both sides, neither should of been done but well within their right to do so.
By doing what both sides done hurt the public opinion of both cases.

If the shop/store/restaurant owners don't want long arms or even hand guns open carried or even concealed in their place of business, all it will take is to post a sign so stating. It is their prerogative. Don't forget, though, everyone within those establishments are safer when arms are properly borne. Personally, I'd feel safer in such an establishment than inside one with a 'no guns' sign posted.
