In today's political environment anything with a detachable magazine is considered an assault weapon so I would certainly not downgrade to a appease them only to still be the bad guy.

I of the same mindset of not giving up any of my AR’s for a Mini. I have a ton of rifles but my favorites are:
AR 15’s
Ruger 10/22
Arsenal AK47

I’m pretty sure this game has been played a few times on here, but I’m in again.

I’ve owned a few Mini’s, but minute of pie plate accuracy doesn’t work for me. Even my cheapest low end AR’s will shoot at least MOA.
I’ve traded in AR’s since the late 90’s, but I’ve never really got on board with the platform. The only two I have that I shoot are the Alexander Arms 17hmr’s.
If I was himmed up and forced to only keep three long guns, I’d keep one of my 17hmr AR’s, the Blaser combo gun 12 ga over 308, and my first Benelli M1 Super 90 12 ga.

Next AWB will not be based on features, they solved that issue due to the gun community pointing it out. It will be ALL semiautomatic including your 10/22. That is what they just pulled in Washington State

Marlin 1895 Cowboy 45-70 9 rounds in magazine tube and one in the chamber. 26” octagon bbl.
