It is scary how many people say that they are pro 2nd, but scared to sign it. Hell, on a lot of the forums, people are scared to talk about it.

Sometimes it's better to just let sleeping dogs lie.

IIRC the $200 tax was instituted in 1934 when this law came to be. I'm shocked that Obama didn't push it to $1500 or $2000 per stamp. If we got a veto proof majority or a .prez who'd play ball, that would be the time to go for repeal.

it's not a sleeping dog, it's a daily infringement on our rights, and many who claim to be pro-gun rights just want to leave these biggest infringements the way they are. cowardice or complacency, maybe both...

Not always. Sometimes it's just dumb to go into a fight you know you can't win. In this case it could even make the infringement worse. This has been the case for at the very least the last 8 years. Inflation adjust the stamps? I just found an online calculator that says $200 in 1934 equates to $3658. Would you like to see that happen?

Lets see what Trump, Jr. can talk his dad into, he's a gun guy. If Trump would push for it or at least say he'd sign a repeal, maybe Congress would do it. They're nutless and won't do it without backing. ATF isn't just going to quit enforcing NFA34 and congress will have to repeal it to make it go away. I doubt very very seriously they are willing right now.

so, cowardice.
So, are you saying that a soldier who waits to attack until his entire squad is assembled is a coward, or a squad who waits until the enemy's attention is diverted is cowardly?

Sometimes, it's best to wait for the landscape to improve. That's not cowardice, it's intelligence.
