Turn the volume off?
On the rare occasions that I would watch sports on TV, I always turned the volume way down because of the yelling, blathering commentators.
Couldn't seem to have one second of silence at any point in a sporting event and it took about four of them "blah, blah blah" to cover any kind of game.
It it was much of a play, they were going to show it to you at least twice more anyway.

Hollerin' with every stroke makes it seem more like hillbilly badminton...

Yep. I used to play when younger and always liked to watch the major tournaments, Wimbledon, etc. The arguing and grunting has ruined it. I can't figure out why the gallery is required to be quiet and respectful while the players a screaming with every stroke and belittling the umps. McEnroe started the degradation and it hadn't quit picking up momentum much less stopped last I watched, which was a while ago. :screwy:
