I'll take a bare bed before I'd have a truck with a drop in. They are slick, trap moisture and dirt under em and eat the paint off the bed.
Line X is all I've ever had. I drove one truck for 12 years with a line X in it and it never wore out. Faded some but that didnt bother me at all. They can color match your paint now days I'm told.
My current truck came with a lineX liner, which I really like.
I built a false floor in it (with drawers underneath for tools) and covered that with roll on Herculiner. The herculiner and lineX match pretty well and I'm happy with the herculiner, but in no way would advocate doing it yourself to an entire bed. Would be really difficult to get evenly on the walls and ridges.
Bottom line:
LineX yes, Herculiner no (or on flat surfaces only)

I did a longbed in 04 and I believe I paid $450 back then. I hsve a 5.5' bed I want to do it to soon but I cant drop that cash ATM
In my recent search line x was by far the most expensive. Will you get standard black or color match of the truck?
I figured this place would be all about Bullet liner
Probably black, forgot to ask what they charge for color but am pretty sure it will be significant.
that is exactly what I used for my ranger top I built. Line x was going to cost about $250 more.
I have high hope for Bullet Liner, but they're still relatively new. Why save on something "LIKE" Line-X when you just just get Line-X? Like any other tool, buy once, cry once.
