I used a Laser Genetics gun mounted green light quite a bit over the years with great success.

Hell I cant afford the gas money to TX much less a FLIR.
I went again last night. Saw a bunch of deer and one dead diller and possum. The pigs were there and we could hear them but they were traveling and we couldnt get in front of them. They crossed the river and we called it a night.

Current regs:

I got something the other day on 2/10/17. There may be updates.

I got it too and already deleted it. Basically the deed holding landowner can get a "exemption" number and can then delegate permission himself (as I understand it). This is only on private land. It's also limited during deer season to the landowner and immediate family, IIRC. Also night vision is now allowed. Go to the end of the 1st linked .pdf file.
