About a year ago one of my uncles that lives in Winfield Ks had a gun stolen from his pickup. All I remember is it was a Taurus revolver. Thieves also ripped the rear view mirror down.
He used to live in a really small town & didn't worry about things like that. Now he knows to lock everything up when he gets home & carry the valuables inside.
He still hasn't heard any news about the gun.

Yeah that works when you stop for gas and five thugs beat you.
That's not what I'm talking about. When you leave your firearm in your vehicle to go in a business for extended periods it should be locked up and secured. If you stop for gas pay at the pump. Can't pay at the pump? Carry your concealed firearm in with you to pay.

'The guns are registered' ??

This. Since when was there a registry. Where did this happen?

Probably just a matter of semantics. The person could mean they were bought at a LGS, which required a 4473, or that they had listed the guns serial numbers for the purpose of insurance. There is no actual mandated "registration" in Oklahoma.
