If you're talking .223, yes, that's a bad deal.

I'm assuming 223, if so - Yeah that's a bad deal. Walmart sells 100 round boxes of Federal .223 for about around $40. So you can use that as a benchmark - panic buyers are paying more but if you aren't in a hurry and take a minute to shop around you can find it much cheaper than 60 cents a round.

Order online. Finding it priced reasonably is a challenge right now but it pops up from time to time.
