Can someone explain the good and bad with a 556 steel core round like this PMA xtac I can buy this stuff cheap whats the catch

some people claim to have problems with the case. you know your shooting a few rounds and your weapon is warm and it sticks a case now and then! or it's ruff on the extractor . IIRC

Cant say I have personally ever had a brass case stick before. The xtac is a steel core 62gr bullet in a brass case. Never had any extractor problem in any of my AR's with it before.

To the op, it's a good ammo, I think a 1/7" twist shoots it a little better than a 1/9" IMO. If you can get 420 rounds under $190 your doing good. :-)
