[QUOTE="Billybob, post: 1554235, member: 1294"] Most recent article, suit is pending in Fed. Court. Punishment meted out for TPD captain who refuses to obey order Internal Affairs investigation led to suspension Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields Files Suit Against the City in Federal Court By Nicole Burgin A Tulsa Police officer is suspended for 2-weeks without pay for refusing to order his officers to attend a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at a Tulsa mosque in March. Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields is suspended for 80 hours for violating two police department policies - duty to be truthful and obedient and conduct unbecoming an officer or police employee. Fields' attorney says he has filed a grievance with the Tulsa Police Department about the suspension. In February, Fields said the order violated his religious beliefs and his attorney Scott Wood filed a civil lawsuit in federal court at that time. Wood told KRMG that he was asking for one dollar in damages for each claim. "That damages claim may change depending on what happens over the next few weeks or months and if and how severely Captain Fields is disciplined after an internal affairs investigation that has just been initiated," Wood said. We now know that an Internal Affairs investigation lead to the suspension. Fields has also been reassigned to the graveyard shift and will not be eligible for promotion for one year.
