64%, hoping there is still a majority of common sense.
You really have no clue about the work of a teacher.Maybe if they packed heat and had to engage a threat, they would have a reason to demand a pay raise.
Hell, I've been a cop for almost 30 years. I don't get all summer off, a week of Thanksgiving break, two weeks Christmas break, spring break, fall break and all those cheesy Monday morning holidays, but you don't see me or my fellow flatfoots screaming at the capitol for a pay raise. My job is a labor of love just like theirs is supposed to be.
So I say hell yeah, give 'em guns and lets see if they need a pay raise then after they engage an active shooter.
I'd like to see a poll of teachers on whether they want to carry or not. I don't think teachers carrying should be a requirement but more of an option if they wish to carry. I guess that poll should happen if a majority of parents are for teachers carrying.

I didnt say anyone was. I see folks against teachers carrying trying to frame the idea that way though. I was just kinda expounding on what I think of how I think this idea should be proposed. Kinda like the whole politically correct thing. It would sound better to some if I said "teachers should have the option to carry" rather than "teachers should carry". I knew the way I said "teachers shouldn't be required" in my previous post someone would pick my words apart. I just really suck at arranging words in a clear manner. This is pretty much the norm in life anymore, it doesn't matter what you meant, it only matters how you said it. I hope this clears things up and I will try to be more clear in the future so I don't get scolded anymore. LolNobody is talking about forcing teachers to carry
