Poll Shows Support for Gun Control Falling as Midterm Elections Approach
by AWR Hawkins 17 - Oct 2018

..."When gun control support is broken down by party affiliation the Democrats carry the day. Eighty-seven percent of Democrats support stricter gun control while just 31 percent of Republicans do. Moreover, 73 percent of non-gun owners support more gun control while only 38 percent of gun owners do."

Unless there's another mass shooting............

With the midterms nearing, is it time again to "break some eggs" to make an omelet ala rogue/deep state elements in the Fast and Furious.gov?

Dodson feels that ATF was partly to blame for the escalating violence in Mexico and on the border. "I even asked them if they could see the correlation between the two," he said. "The more our guys buy, the more violence we're having down there."

Senior agents including Dodson told CBS News they confronted their supervisors over and over.

Their answer, according to Dodson, was, "If you're going to make an omelette, you've got to break some eggs."

Well the Democrats did win the House and say they are going to pass gun control bills. Word is they will be added to other bills that have to pass so that Trump has no choice but to sign them. They include high taxes on guns and ammunition. Sadly those will probably easily pass the senate too as no congress critter can turn down raising taxes.

I do not think they is a need to panic buy but picking up an extra box of ammo every now and then is never a bad idea.

The Senate (still controlled by the GOP) can delete these provisions, so it's questionable that anything would passed on to Trump.

OT, but the media is portraying the /Dem takeover of the House as a slap at Trump. The Senate is ever redder than it was before, but that is not portrayed as a vote of support for Trump. How can this be?

...which sends the bill to Reconciliation, and the houses have to duke it out between themselves before sending it to the White House; they can't just delete it and make it stick.

Remember how much we liked log-rolling when we stuck National Park carry into an unrelated bill? Now we're going to see the other side of it.
