I've got them and it's great for me. Remember to get them done at a place that does Shooters. If it's front sights, this will be critical. Need to see where your natural aim is to mark the position of the prescription needed at that spot in the lense. Most places that do it will have a blue gun to use.

I was having issues with needing shooting glasses. Upon examination, found it was macular eye degeneration.
Caught early, and so far is under control. The needle in the eye every 5 weeks sucks though.

I'm so sorry to hear that buddy. I can't imagine how difficult it is to have the shots. I hope the treatments keep this horrible disease under control.
I hope this doesn't offend but I'll remember you in my prayers.
Good luck.

I had these made for me. They are trifocal inserts with 3 ballistic interchangeable lenses. Not promoting them but they work for me and I like the fact I can go from clear to yellow to dark.

For pistol shooting I had my eye doc measure from my eye to sights of pistol for the correct focal point. Lenses set in a safety glasses frame.
Works great for my eyes.

Needles are a bummer, took my mother for many treatments of the same. Hard to watch it.

I just had my annual eye appointment two weeks ago,,,
My prescription hadn't changed and my glasses aren't scratched up,,,
So I decided to ask about a prescription that would put my front sight in focus again.

I found out my insurance won't cover traditional safety glasses,,,
But the eye doc told me to get the "hardened poly-carbonate" lenses instead.

He said they are the exact same material,,,
They just won't have the safety logo etched into them.

And my insurance paid for them.

I just got them this past Tuesday,,,
I'm anxious to get to the range and try them out.
