Unfortunately, I think the days of 30 bucks a 1000 are gone. In this area they were selling for more than that before the panic started.

Well, I hope you are right.. but Winchester Small Pistol primers, current wholesale, at 100K minimum are currently $40.20/1000. I believe the day 0f $30/1000 retail may be long gone.

Last night the Academy in Yukon had some CCI large rifle primers. Ten dollars per hundred. Behind the sporting goods counter. Had a pretty good selection of ammo too.

@ $10 a hundred I would probably give up on centerfire and reloading and look for a air rifle in 30 cal like a Quackenbush!

I am still using primers bought in the 90's! Lol, $15 a thousand!

I think the ones I bought during the Obummer years was $25 / thousand + tax.

We all have a different perceived value for things and at this time I refuse to pay more than $30 / thousand.

As someone who spent most of their career in manufacturing, I am betting that the cost to manufacture a primer for a company like cci, federal, and winchester is less than $0.02 a primer shipped out the door!

But I understand the supply and demand thing.

If everyone left them on the shelf, prices would fall like a rock!
