So I know I have hijacked this thread, but I just finished my kit build. I put the MOE handguard from my last pistol upper on it, and scored a Ruger branded grip, flip up sight, and charging handle from ebay to go with my Ruger lower. My lower is a little out of spec, it is a ***** to take down and assemble the rear take down pin. But its built for throwing steel and selling when im bored of it. Or it may become my new trunk monkey.

Here is my mine. (SBR). RRA lower with a Sig 516 piston 7.5” upper, Burris FF3 and a law tactical folding stock. It was a project just to see how small I could make it.

It could be made smaller if I wanted to stay with a DI system. The Sig 516 upper is piston operated and made for the 7.5 length. No drilling and adjusting gas ports necessary.

Here is the smallest I’ve see so far.
