[QUOTE="henschman, post: 2856998, member: 4235"] There is an interesting thread on arfcom where the owner of Battlefield Las Vegas machine gun rentals relays his experiences with various ARs and parts. He said that the chrome lined and nitrided PSA uppers are holding up very well on his range, as well as PSA C158 BCGs, after tens of thousands of rounds. He is not seeing any difference in durability or longevity between the PSA stuff and Colt and LMT rifles and parts... or any difference between the PSA rifles that use FN CHF barrels and those with PSA's own nitrided barrels for that matter. I would trust PSA's chrome lined and nitrided/melonited uppers to be reliable. You do have to watch out with some of their other parts though -- buffer tubes and charging handles come to mind. They will call a buffer tube "mil spec diameter," but it won't be made of the mil spec 7570 alloy unless you pay $10 more and get the part that specifically says it is. Their lower build kits and complete rifles will come with these lower grade parts too. Know your specs and you can put together a solid rifle from them for a bargain price. If you don't know anything about specs and want a good, reliable, mil-spec or better rifle, better to stick with BCM, Colt, Daniel Defense, LMT, or somebody else who doesn't even offer any lower grade parts.
