Purse carry gun for the wife

Looking for real-life ideas for a purse carry gun for my wife. She's been toting a S&W M&P 45 for a while, but she really hates practicing with it. Too loud, too much kick, too much everything.
She likes the 25s, possibly the 380 but she's still not excited about that. I'd like to put her on a Keltec 32 but haven't got my hands on one. What are your womenfolk carrying? What do they enjoy shooting? She's a small girl so not much muscle for pulling a heavy slide or fighting a good recoil.

I just picked up the ruger LCP in 22 for my wife a few weekends ago and she loves it. She could hit the 12” target about 75% of the time with my 9mm but she can chew out the bullseye with a few stragglers using the 22.

My wife likes to carry her Springfield XD9 subcompact. She's a old school Southside Capitol Hill girl though and tough as nails anyway.
EDIT: she's has started taking a liking to my Smith and Wesson M&P 340 too.

Mine carries a S&W 642, the light weight and hammerless so she dont hang up pulling it out of her purse

She needs to decide after trying one. A lot of decent recommendations here but the bottom line it must be something she likes and will practice with.
