Laguna Beach is just South by about 6-8 miles from where I live and have spent lots of time there for work and the occasional dinner with the wife. It really is a beautiful town. The politics is terrible and is horrible liberal. It is a well known bastion of the gays, lebanese, and artists. I am actually really surprised that the vote was 4-1 when I heard it on the local news after the vote. I figured it would be real close or even voted to change it. There is a down town area called main beach where there are lots of shops a big grassy area and beach that gets really crowded during the summer months. Pacific Coast Highway goes right through the main beach area. Every. Phucking. Weekend. They have some liberal, socialist or what ever group out there with their signs protesting something conservative or Trump. There was a massive wildfire that blew through the town about 25 years ago. It didn't do enough, if you get my drift.
