Quail Season could be another good one

3 ducks and goose this morning. Then met up for a couple hours with 9 other guys, with another lab, a pointer and a Vizla. 17 pheasant and 2 quail. Why we didn't get a group pic I have no idea.

i didn't take any pics today but we had a good hunt. after i lost my dog last year, we're down to an english setter/pointer mix that is getting close to 12 and a buddy's dog that has one hell of a nose but as soon as he smells birds he runs to the truck!
we made a lazy hunt after a big breakfast and moved six covey's in a couple hours. only took 9 birds but had a great time watching the dogs work and razzing each other for our poor shooting.
we've taken about 80 birds off these two quarters and there is still plenty. it's been a good year for sure.
