I was hungry man! It really didnt matter at the time lol.
But sometimes its obvious that it was a frozen meat. This one was good enough that one couldnt tell.

I've had pretty darn good chicken fried steaks at Black Bear Diner in Colorado Springs and Boise, Idaho, but I've not tried the CFS at the Black Bear in OKC yet.

Nice thing about Black Bear is that they allow (even encourage) folks to share the meal. Wife and I have done that a number of times at Black Bear. We stopped in there last weekend and wife didn't want to share, so I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger Salad.

I didn't eat all the salad.

Might help to know what I'm lookin' at...

Even back when we were dirt poor (actually several times during our 44 yrs of marriage), Sweetie would take cheap cuts of meat, chicken fry 'em enough to hold the batter on, then put 'em in a covered dish in the oven on low heat to finish cooking.

We could usually cut 'em with a fork.
