You guys are gonna pull my Okie Card but I've only ever eaten one and that was at Annie's or Ann's because some guys at work really bragged it up.

Anyway, I was on my way back to Norman one Saturday morning right at noon, after just leaving CJ's Gun Shop in Bethany, saw the sign and thought I'd stop in and see what all the fuss was about......not sure what I was expecting but I wasn't all that impressed.

Kendall's is not that far away from me so maybe I should try one there since several folks here have mentioned it.

The greatest CFS sandwich is at the Chuck House on Midwest Blvd in MWC just north of the 29th Street.

Kendall’s has the biggest but not the best, Chuck House on 10th and Meridian is not the same as the one in MWC, which is an old drive-in setup, but for some reason that sandwich is always tasty.

Soda Pops on 119th and Western is pretty good as well, they have the best chicken-fried chicken breast we’ve had.

Mods can close this thread now. Lakeside Grill near the shores of Lake Ponca has these real meat, tenderized in the restaurant, and hand breaded Chicken Fried Steaks. Betcha can't eat the whole thing.

Was it good?

$8.99 with fries. It was pretty good with white gravy and a big side salad for a buck more. The salad cancels out the chicken fry right?

Had Kendall's. It's good, but I didn't think it was all that wonderful. Looks like I will have to make a trip to the Lakeside Grill at Ponca, though!
