If you were like me and wanted to make sure you’d never have to waste time being forced to sit on a jury somewhere, all you’d have to do is just make sure the tag office you chose to renew your license in was not in the same county you lived in.

Now that we have the ability to renew online, do you still go to the tag office to get your license once they eventually approve your renewal or do they just send your new license to you through the mail? If they automatically send you your new license through the mail, how do they choose what county code to put on your license if you can’t go to a tag office?

Being that I have a CDL, I can’t just go to the tag office to renew my license because I actually have to go to one of the drivers license testing places to renew and then take the piece of paper they give me to the tag office of my choice but this last time when I had to renew, I’m not sure if the guy said anything about everybody else but he said that for CDL holders, they no longer go to the tag office, that our license will be sent to us in the mail but I’m just wondering pretty much the same thing for this case, how do they figure out what county code to use because according to this, the county code in the upper left-hand corner of the backside of my license is nowhere near the county I live in, nor is it even close to the county that had the town I renewed in.

Goes off voter registration
Don’t think so because the one and only time so far that I was summoned to do jury duty I wasn’t yet a registered voter in Oklahoma.

I also was able to get out of it because the country that summoned me was not the same county that that I lived in at the time.

When did they change it back i know it use to be voter registrion and they changed it to your DL but didnt know they had changed it back
Well maybe they did then within the last several years because it was in the summer of 2018 when I got my one and only jury summons and that had to be drivers license based because I did go to that county’s tag office to get my drivers license while living in a different county.

Im not really sure the last time i was summoned i got escorted out of the court house by a sheriffs deputy and was told to never return for telling a lawyer i refused to answer his questions about my families personal affairs and that was nearly 30 years ago and has never been summoned since.

Whenever I'm called for jury duty I wear a tee shirt I bought in Southern Mississippi years ago.......The tee shirt is white with a stylized black X on the front with the caption You Have Your X and on the back is a full color Confederate battle flag with the caption And I Have Mine........they can't dismiss me fast enough when Ive worn that shirt

I would guess that the county code comes from the address on the license. Last go-'round, I got my license renewed in Tulsa, but the county code matches the county of my legal residence, which is on the license.
