Does the magazine for an original M&P 9 fit the new 2.0 also?

Good question. I have the original. If your going to be around the range in the future I'll let you try my original if you have the 2.0.

Yes, I have both. They interchange.

The exception is the Original M&P 9c (compact 13 rd) will not fit the 2.0 compact.

But all previous 17rd magazines (or full length 10 and 15rd magazines for ban states) will fit the 2.0 guns.

Your premise is correct - the magazine for the original M&P9C will not fit the 9C v2.0 but you got the specs wrong - the 9C came with a 12 round mag or a 10 round mag for CA and some other States.

Sorry DJ but in this case since we were discussing the magazine specifically not the loaded gun’s max capacity.
