We've lived in this area now since Fall of 2018 with no drilling rig set up there in that length of time.

I wondered if it was fracking, but when looked at images online for that term, all of them had a "derrick" at the site, thus the reason for supplying pictures. This has been going on here for about 2 weeks (I think).
Good pics by the way (as most of yours are).
Are they working around the clock? Most completion work is 24 hr ops, but there are some areas that are “day shift only”.

Here, but occasionally There.

My guess is that they are working 24 hours. It has almost gotten to the point that the noise now serves as "white noise" to drown out all other noises. There are times that we don't hear the roaring noise, so I presume they are "changing" something. After thinking about it, this may have only been going on for a week or just over a week.

And, it is along the H.E. Bailey spur east of Riverwind casino that someone mentioned before.

Gotcha, they likely are working 24 hrs then. And yes, they are “changing” things. When the most noise is being heard, they are actually pressure pumping the frac stage. It takes a lot of horsepower (multiple pumps) to have a treating rate of around 100 barrels water per minute. In between stages, things will quiet up some as the wireline work is done. Then, repeat.

Then it was drilled before you moved in, and they are just getting around to completing the well.

The fracking operation can take any where from a couple weeks to over a month. Took them about a month to frac the one a mile due east of me.

The noise will subside in time and you’ll have a well for a neighbor, that unless you can see it you won’t know it’s there.
WHAT? No more PU, PU, PU, PU, PU, PU, PU, fuf, fuf, fuf, fufufufuf, PU, PU, PU, PU, PU, PU, PU, fuf, fuf, fuf, fufufufuf?

Those things sang me to sleep at night!

If this is a newly drilled well, there would have been a drilling rig out there for anywhere from 30-60 days (again depending on vertical depth of well and how long the horizontal lateral is) prior to the operations taking place now. What is going on now (the “frac”) is the completion stage of the well - next will be production stage.

Haven't you and your wife been out of state for weeks/months at a time on your "retirement" job doing the roads?
